Spring changes are extremely dangerous and can kill you. Setting a garage door spring isn't something you can truly learn over a couple YouTube video's. Yes, it may function but not properly. A garage door that hasn't been set properly will destroy a perfectly good opener. Every garage door is given a specific Inch Pounds Per Turn IPPT. Which means not every spring can fit your garage door.
Replacing garage door springs isn't something I would recommend doing but if you do take into consideration the IPPT and properly setting the garage door.
